Who this covers

This policy covers browncpassp.com, the website of Brown Business Advisors St. Petersburg. Our office is at 360 Central Avenue, Suite 800, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.

It covers the website only. If you become a client, the engagement letter you sign governs how we handle your financial records, and it takes precedence over anything here.

What we collect when you contact us

When you fill in a form on this site we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us — phone number, company name, the service you are asking about, who you would like to meet with, and the message you write.

The message box is free text. Please use your judgement about what you put there. It is a first enquiry, not a secure channel, and you do not need to send account numbers, Social Security numbers or tax documents to start a conversation. If we need those, we will tell you how to send them securely.

What is collected automatically

Our host records standard technical information about requests to the site, including IP address, and we store the IP address alongside an enquiry to limit automated abuse of the form.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are used and how quickly they load. Both are privacy-focused: they do not use cookies for this, and they do not build a profile of you across other websites.

The map on our contact and service pages is embedded from OpenStreetMap and only loads if you scroll to it. When it loads, your browser contacts OpenStreetMap directly, and their own terms apply to that request.

Our fonts are served from this site, not from a third party, so displaying this page does not tell anyone else that you visited.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to arrange a consultation, and to keep a record of who asked us what. We also use it to keep the form working and free of automated abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

A small number of service providers process this information so that the site can work. Each one only handles what it needs to:

Vercel hosts the website and delivers its pages. Supabase stores enquiries in our client system. Resend delivers the email that notifies our team, and any confirmation email we send you. OpenStreetMap serves the embedded map if you view it.

These providers act on our instructions. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

If we ask you to confirm your email

We may send a short email asking you to confirm the address you gave us, with a link that expires. This is how we check an enquiry came from a real person before it reaches our team. If you do not confirm, we will not contact you about it.

If you receive one of these and did not contact us, you can ignore it. Nothing further happens.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and to meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete an enquiry and we are not required to keep it, we will.

Your choices

You can ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call the office and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law, and we will honour those.

This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, we will update this page and ask you first where we are required to.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
